Social Concerns' main function is to bring food on a monthly basis to needy parish families. Thanksgiving and Christmas meals are also provided. Donated items and meals are brought to each family prior to any holiday with the excess going to SHIP of Somerville and the Somerset County Food Bank. Our goal for 2003 is to establish a friendly visitor program enabling Social Concerns to monitor the needs of families more closely and may also establish a visiting nurse program for the parish's senior citizens.
