St. Jude
One of the twelve apostles, St. Jude, also known as Thaddaeus, was brother
to St. James the Less and a relative of Jesus Christ.
Jude was the one who asked Jesus at the Last Supper why He would not manifest Himself to the whole world
after His resurrection. Little else is known of his life.
He is an author of one of the epistles. In his epistle,
St. Jude calls the believers to persevere in faith and love while they "wait for the mercy of
our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life". Therefore he has become the patron saint of desperate
situations. His feast day is on October 28th.
